Belajar Motret Pt. 3: A Spring Fling!

“It is spring time now! While the world looks for a new war to fight, you look for a cherry blossom to watch! Let the stupid seeks the violence; you seek the elegance!”
Mehmet Murat Ildan.

Enjoying the perks of Spring that had just begun, I decided to start using my camera again. The cherry blossoms tree next to our house was really intriguing for me to capture some of their beauty. Actually, there are three cherry blossoms trees planted on that (void) spot. However, (almost every year) one of those trees blossomed earlier than the two others. And you know, usually the first one intrigued you the most πŸ™‚ When you walk by, you can hear the bees humming and smell the subtle scent of the flowers. It’s just nice to know that spring is really around. Its not like I don’t like winter (I like all season – each one has its own thing for me), but just that I think I need more warm temperature now (although you can never predict how weather will go here). The thought of spring makes it a bit warmer at least haha. Anyway.

Also, this weekend I just bought bouquet of tulips at Lidl. It was so cheap: I (well, my hubby :p) only had to pay 4 Euro for 20 pcs of tulips (2 bouquets). Too bad tulips cannot last that long (usually only lasts around 3 – 4 days, unless you are lucky they can stand for a week). While they’re still quite fresh, I made some pictures of them as well. Oh, and I found one wild flower (the yellow one) in front of our backyard (jungle :p) door – then I also decided to make some photos of it.

Here are some of results of the photos I have captured. Only the better ones though hehe (duh). To most, I used the Nikon D70 with tele lens (from Sigma). I added 20mm macro on the default lens when I took photos of the yellow flower (anyone knows the flower’s name btw?), and I used the default lens only for some photos. I also added extra flash (blitz) to get a bit of extra light.

Before I leave you with the pictures, here’s a nice line I found from a Japanese poet, IkkyuΒ which I wanna share with you too πŸ™‚

Look at the cherry blossoms!
Their color and scent fall with them,
Are gone forever,
Yet mindless
The spring comes again.

Enjoy the flowers all, I hope you like them as much as I do!

I put the tulips on the dining table. I chose the orange one because it makes a good contrast with the wall (and it matches the place-mats :p). The painting above was made by my mother in law btw, love it a lot!

The surrounding. The other two cherry blossoms trees that not yet blossoms are closer to our house. It’s on the left of the photo. I use default lens for this one.
The morning sunlight has made the flowers look yellow-ish on this photo. Luckily by the time I took the photo, the sky was quite clear hence made a nice contrast with the flowers ( not long afterwards it went dark and gloomy).

This photo was also using tele lens. You still can see drops of dew all over the grass here, so pretty πŸ™‚ (took the photos in the morning after bringing the kids to school btw).
The white-ish cherry blossoms.
Lovely branches combined with flowers.

Say hello to the busy bee!
